VIOLATED!

Our garage into our apartment complex got broken into Sunday night. Our car and two other cars got broken into. The "bad guys" (that's what we told Damon when he asked who did it), broke out the back side window on each of the three cars. When I went down to check out the car I felt so creepy, everything had been pulled out of the glove box and the middle console and kind of thrown around the whole front of the car. We did have an ipod and a radio converter for it that was stolen. Luckily they didn't take the carseats or the nice stroller in the trunk. Those are actually worth a lot of money, so thank goodness for that. Believe it or not, there is a plus side to this. I had to vaccuum up all the broken glass in the backseat, so our car is now nice and clean!

Halloween Spirit

Is there such a thing as "The Halloween Spirit?" I've never really gotten into Hallween before, but for some reason this year I've done more for Halloween than I've probably done in my whole life combined. Last night we had FHE at Jeremy and Janelle's and we carved pumpkins. I don't think I've ever carved my own pumpkin before. I'm sure we did as kids, but my memory is terrible (so mom once again, you'll have to refresh my memory). We got online and printed off some outlines to carve, enjoy...

Here is Tyler's.

Here is mine.

Here is all of them. Who knew you could do such cool things with a silly little pumpkin.

Like I said earlier about getting into Halloween this year, I made my first decorated cake. I know it's not great, but it was still fun.

San Francisco Pumpkin Patch

We went on a hay ride, which was kind of fun even though it cost $2/person. I even had to pay for Andee which I thought was a little strange, but still fun!
I forgot my camera the other day when we went to the pumpkin patch in San Francisco, thanks Janelle for taking some pictures. There are super cute!

Early Halloween

Andee wasn't so sure about her costume at first, but didn't complain all night.
Damon, of course, was so excited and couldn't wait to go to the costume party.

Last night was trunk or treat at the church. It was so fun. We all dressed up, Tyler was Frankenstein (he got home really late from class and didn't have any time to get ready), I was a witch, Damon was dracula (I actually sewed his cape) and Andee was a skunk. We played all the little games, hung out with friends and went trick or treating in the parking lot. Some people made the cutest displays in their trunks, how fun. Damon would say "pick or treat," no matter how many times we told him it was trick, cute! And now we have a gallon of candy, which we absolutely don't need. I don't want to let Damon eat it all and get all sorts of cavities (or am I worrying too much). I don't want to eat it, but I will if it's here (not good) and Tyler really doesn't eat candy. So what do we do with it?

Andee standing

Andee is getting better and better at standing. She thinks she's pretty special when she can stand by herself.

Then there's Damon, he thinks it's fun to copy his little sis!

Family, finally!

This weekend Tyler's parents come to visit, Grandma May and Grandpa May. We had a blast. We went to the farm to feed the goats, cows, sheep, chickens and ducks. We made tons of yummy food and ate, ate, ate. I had been saving a bunch of bread (I mean a bunch, probably 20 hot dog buns, 10 hamburger buns, and the ends of bread) for a while and we went down to the park to feed the geese and seagulls. It was cool because we would throw the bread up in the air and the seagulls would swoop down and catch in their mouths. We went up to the temple to overlook Oakland, and then in the visitor's center which is always special. It was a short weekend, but we had so much fun with them. Tyler and I got to go on a date, which was one of the best moments of the weekend. We don't get to do that very much. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma May. We loved having you and wish you were closer. Come see us again!

As crafty as I get

Janelle and I went to Michaels because she's pretty good at making cute decorations and bargaining good deals (another story). Anyways, we found this felt puppet kit for a couple bucks and Damon and I put them together the other day. Who knew crafts could be so easy?

Just cuz we were bored

For the Grandparents

This one's for you guys....

Joy School

My friends and I decided to do a joy school instead of sticking our kids in preschool which is incredibly expensive (at least for us). So today was Damon's first day over at his friends Izzy. Last night I told him he was going to school at Izzy's and he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, "mommy, i'm going to miss you". The only thing he knows about school is that when Tyler is at school he is gone all day long. Maybe Damon thought he was going to be gone all day too. He ended up really liking it, of course.
